Exercise...

Mmmm hmm...I said it...the word is ''exercise.'' There's so much hype about exercise these days, and for good reason. Along with brushing your teeth every day (actually two to three times a day according to my dentist), eating your fruits and veggies, avoiding processed foods, drinking water instead of soda, climbing stairs instead of taking the elevator...exercise has become one of the buzz words at least in the USA. From Biggest Loser to all the 10 Minute Solutions videos, Jillian Michaels and Tiffany Rothe, you have options for staying in shape, either at the gym, at home, or running in the park. With all the hype, it can be difficult not to get to weighted down with all the pressures of staying ''skinny'' or ''living longer.'' Don't get me wrong, I'm all about exercising, I'm all about eating right, sleeping enough, working hard, all of that...the trick is keeping it in balance. You can't go too far to one side or the other. Here I hope to share with you some of the things I've done over the years to keep in shape (and by in shape, I don't mean a body builder, I mean healthy) and enjoy what I do. Why is this a priority for me? 1) Emotional health (see my blog Hope Through the Rain), and 2) to ward off back pain and general stress. Yes, exercise is good for you on MANY levels. So we'll stick to that.:)
